Timothy W. Rowland

Timothy W. Rowland, age 70, of Rogers, AR, passed away on September 27, 2023, from health complications related to stroke.

Born on August 12, 1953, Tim grew up in Hope, AR, and was a graduate of Hope High School. Drawn to the scenery of the Ozarks, he moved to Northwest Arkansas and spent much of his career in photofinishing at Color Mate, Wal-Mart Photo division, and Fuji Film. Later, he worked several years as a technical process operator at Glad Manufacturing in Rogers.

Tim was an avid fan of photography, music, reading, and modern art. He constructed his own telescopes for viewing at local schools and astronomy club events. Additionally, he had a strong interest in vintage sports cars, having owned an MGA, Porsche 912, and Fiat X1/9, among others.

A fixture of downtown Rogers, Tim enjoyed the developing arts and restaurant scene, and was most known for his sense of humor. In later years, he was a favored resident among the staff at Rogers Health and Rehabilitation.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Lomal and Winnie Rowland, of Hope, AR. He is survived by his son, Jim Rowland, and daughter-in-law, Laura Rowland, of Rogers, AR.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. For now, Tim would encourage you to thank a nurse or aide for the unsung dignities that they provide every day.
